People who get amnesia may find it hard to picture or imagine the future because what we think will happen in the future is linked to what happened in the past. You also don't remember much recent or new information that you have been told or learned. Some people may be able to remember childhood memories or old information such as the first few presidents, but can't remember current things like the month or current president or what they ate for breakfast.
Other symptoms may include:
- confusion
- disorientation
- problems with short term memory
- loss part of memory
- lost completely all memory
- not able to recognise faces
- not able to recognise places
- loss of ability
- inability to learn new information
