To treat someone with amnesia, an occupational therapist may help you learn and replace some memory that you have lost. The occupational therapist may also give you some memory tests to see if you are able to memorize things. It may also be helpful for someone with amnesia to use a PDA (mobile device, such as a iphone or blackberry) to help with daily activities or remember what to do during the day or remind them to take medications. At the moment there are no real medications that a person with amnesia can take, so the two suggestions mentioned above would help to try and get some of a person's memory back. However, most people won’t ever recover from amnesia completely and fully. There will always be some memory that the person will never get back.
